CFI enters a cooperation agreement with the Frugal Innovation Lab of Santa Clara University

A good news: Center for Frugal Innovation (CFI) of the Hamburg University of Technology (Technische Universität Hamburg-Harburg; TUHH) has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Frugal Innovation Lab (FIL) of the Santa Clara University (SCU) in California, USA. The two parent institutions, i.e. SCU and TUHH recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for “Collaboration in the Area of Frugal Innovation”.

The objetive of the MoU is to enable “exchange of students, who would participate in a series of academic courses and projects of mutual interest in the area of frugal innovation”.The MoU  initially applies for three years and “involves a bilateral exchange of a predefined number of graduate students who would participate in specific SCU and TUHH courses”.

Apart from this, CFI and FIL envisage exchange visits of researchers and faculty members that are planned to include stays of extended length for specific projects in the field of frugal innovation research. The two partners plan to also develop courses for teaching the specifics of frugal innovations to graduate students as well as to push the frontiers of academic and scientific research on this topic.
